The Conclave at Amalthea champions the power of ideas and perseverance. It creates an atmosphere that is conducive to innovation, inquisition and creativity. Conclave invites thinkers, ideators, and leaders in industry and academia to share their experiences, expertise and research with aspiring individuals.
The theme of the Conclave in Amalthea ‘16 is “Technologizing Challenges”. When we think of challenges, we think of innovation and technology. Technology would not be that exciting without challenges and challenges would not be the same without technology. “Technologizing Challenges” aims to explore the art of pursuing ideas and of overcoming the uncertainties of the unexplored.
The conclave will be held on both October 22 and 23, 2016. The detailed schedule will be put up soon.
Mr. Sanjay Katkar is the Co-Founder, CTO and MD of Quickheal Technologies Ltd. He has spearheaded the creation and subsequent development and maintenance of the core antivirus engine. Sanjay holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Pune. He also serves as the Director of Association of Anti-Virus Researchers Asia (AAVAR).
Mr. Diwakar Vaish is the developer of India's first mind controlled wheelchair and India's first indigenously built 3D-printed robot called Manav. He has delivered two TEDx Talks, TEDxJuhu(July 2015) and TEDxIIMShillong.
Mileha Soneji is a trained Strategic Product Designer. She currently works in the Netherlands as a strategist in VanBerlo. She gave a TED Talk about her work in the field of Inclusive Design, design for Parkinson's Patients.
He is the VP, R&D at SmartVizX - a Virtual Reality company based in Bangalore which specializes in building 'Immersive Technology' solutions for Real Estate and other industries. Shailesh worked as a senior engineer in Samsung and Intel before joining Smartvizx. Shailesh Kumar holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an MS (Dual Major) in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
Prashant Dhawan is the Co-founder of the Biomimicry India Network. He holds a degree in MS (Master of Science) in Biomimicry from the Arizona State University, U.S.A along with Biomimicry Professional Certification awarded by Biomimicry 3.8, USA. He also holds a degree in Architecture from SPA Delhi, and an MBA from ISB Hyderabad. Prior to starting the Biomimicry India Network he was Head of Campus Development with the Indian Institute for Human Settlements,Head Business Development, India, for YOO Ltd , Assistant Vice President with ‘Total Environment Building Systems Private Limited’, Bangalore and as Corporate manager with ‘Mahindra Holidays’ he helped develop and launch ‘Zest’ . As an entrepreneur he was involved in diverse projects ranging from documenting the Alchi Monastery in Ladak to being the Campus Architect for the expansion of Dyal Singh College in Delhi. He is one of the few architects who provided design services in the walled city (Shajahanabad) in Delhi and has also written on issues related to human centered design. Prashant prefers to call himself an amateur researcher of issues related to sustainable happiness.
Seema Anand is a Biomimicry Specialist (Biomimicry 3.8 Institute, USA, 2011) and a practicing Architect in India. She is the co-founder of “Biomimicry India Network”, a network which aims to spread awareness and catalyze biomimicry in India. She is also the co-founder of “Biomimicry India Lab and Studio”, a company which consults and undertakes research in the field of biomimicry.
Dr C Mohankumar specializes in Biochemistry and Molecular Genomics. With 26 years of experience in teaching and research, he has bagged the Best Paper Award thrice and the Best Academician Award in 2006. He is currently working on DNA fingerprinting genomics, differential expression of genes, processing and production of food supplements and therapeutic proteins.
